Heard Shaker + Spear has duck breast—gotta go ASAP! 😍
Before heading out, I checked Seattle restaurant notes and didn’t find many posts about it—maybe a hidden gem? From appetizers to mains and desserts, the overall experience was great. Both the Himachi Crudo and the duck breast cleverly used seasonal persimmons, giving off such an autumn vibe 🍂. The duck breast also came with Shishito peppers, and of all the peppers on the plate, I got the only spicy one… talk about luck! 🔥 📸 In order of the photos: 1️⃣ Duck breast 🦆 (I order duck breast whenever it’s on the menu! This one was really well done—crispy skin, tender and juicy meat. My only small wish is that the portion could’ve been a bit bigger.) 2️⃣ Himachi crudo 🐟 (The combination of persimmon and raw fish was unexpectedly harmonious! Sweet and fresh flavors intertwined—a delightful texture.) 3️⃣ Crab with avocado 🥑 (Generous amount of crab meat with rich layers of flavor. Personally, I’m not a big fan of cilantro 🌿, but that’s just me.) 4️⃣ Hokkaido scallops 🍥 (A bit on the salty side, but otherwise well-seasoned and cooked perfectly—scallops were tender and fresh.) 5️⃣ Matcha mochi with black sesame ice cream 🍡 (I’d prefer the mochi less sweet and the ice cream a tad sweeter. The black sesame flavor is strong—great for sesame lovers! It was just okay for me, but swapping it for chocolate ice cream as suggested by the server didn’t feel right either.) The restaurant ambiance was quiet and romantic, great for conversations or a date 💬. The server was especially engaging—even got an introvert like me in a joking mood 😄. Overall, a very pleasant meal! ✨ 📍 2000 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121 #SeattleEats #SeattleFoodDiscovery #VibeDining #DuckBreast #FoodDiary
