Heard This Is LA’s Best Poke? 🍚🐟
I’d seen people calling this place the best poke in LA, so even though it’s pretty far from me, I had to check it out! While it probably doesn’t quite live up to the “best ever” title, the flavors are solid and the value is good—worth a visit if you’re not too far away. The restaurant only has a few outdoor tables, seating maybe 20 people max, giving it a casual, fast-food vibe. 🏖️ 📍 Jus' Poke 501 N. PCH, Redondo Beach There’s a small parking lot that’s usually enough, but if it’s full, just circle around—you’ll likely find a spot. 🚗 This spot leans into Hawaiian-style poke bowls, available in Regular and Large sizes. Both come with rice, 2 sides, and 2 types of fish—the Large is so big that regulars say you’d only order it if you’re “starving”! 😂 As shown in the third photo, I tried four flavors this time. The fish is super fresh, and the seasoning is on point. Here are the highlights: 1️⃣ Spicy – The most popular choice, mayo-based and highly recommended! 🌶️ 2️⃣ Wasabi – Comes in regular (soy-based, my pick!) and House (mayo-based, hits you with a strong wasabi kick! 🔥) 3️⃣ Shoyu – Soy-based, pretty similar to regular Wasabi—no need to order both. 4️⃣ Sides – Options include seaweed salad, regular edamame, spicy edamame, and crispy cucumber. All delicious! 🥒 A couple of downsides though: 🐟 Only tuna is available—wish there were more fish choices. 🍚 Rice portions are small—by the last third of the bowl, it gets pretty salty without enough rice to balance it out. 😅 I’ve also heard great things about Fish King in Glendale—much closer to me, so that’s next on my list! 🗺️👀 #PokeBowl #LosAngeles #LAEats #HawaiianFood #PokeLove #FreshFish #FoodReview
