Rasarumah is a newly Michelin-recognized restaurant in Los Angeles, offering incredible value with its amazing flavors and top-notch service. During our meal, we even spotted the owner busy in the kitchen, personally overseeing everything—true dedication! 👨🏻🍳🔥 Dish Recommendations: 🥗 Gado Gado: An Indonesian-style salad packed with fresh veggies—similar to Caesar salad but with an Asian twist. Refreshing and appetizing! Note: If you’re not a fan of basil or mint, maybe skip this one. 🤔 🍢 Skewers: The menu features four to five types of skewers. We tried the chicken and pork belly—the chicken skewers were incredibly tasty, rivaling even the best yakitori spots in Torrance! Served with three dipping sauces: mustard, pineapple, and peanut—each thoughtfully paired. 🍳 Char Koay Kak: Fresh vegetables topped with a runny sunny-side-up egg. The star? Crispy fried rice cakes! The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy—rich yet harmonious. So delicious it’s almost emotional—highly recommend! 🐮 Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang: Unlike typical rendang made with shoulder or rump, this version uses tender Wagyu beef cheek. Served with homemade paratha, pickles, coconut cream, and cilantro-mint—each bite is pure bliss! (If you run out of paratha, the complimentary shrimp crackers make a great substitute too 😋) The entire dining experience was flawless—Michelin-level service with well-timed utensil changes and course pacing. The restaurant’s decor is warm and inviting, adding to the cozy atmosphere. Located in Historic Filipinotown near DTLA, the area can get busy with traffic.
