Heian Shrine π―
Heian Shrine is free to enter, but if you want to visit the Shinden Garden, you need to purchase a separate ticket for 600 yen. ππ’ I personally think it's well worth a visit. If I remember correctly, the garden includes the East, West, Middle, and South Gardens. There are hundreds of different plants in the courtyard, and there are even signs indicating their origins. πΈπ There are also several ponds where you can see mandarin ducks playing in the water, fish swimming in the shallows, and the reflection of every plant in the garden. The garden is already incredibly beautiful in winter. If you visit during cherry blossom season or autumn leaves season, it must be even more stunning. ππ’ When we went in mid-January, we still saw a few lingering red leaves. Walking around, you can already sense that there are flowers blooming in every season here, and I believe each season has its own unique beauty. πΈπ The day we visited was very lucky. The sky was so blue, and the temperature in mid-January was surprisingly warm. πΈπ We even encountered a newlywed couple taking wedding photos in traditional kimonos. Everything was just perfect, and it felt like pure happiness. π πΈπ I will definitely visit again, in every season. #Kyoto π
