Helsinki visit|Murasaki
For ages, Murasaki has been at the top of my “must - visit” foodie list 📝. But life kept getting in the way, and visit after visit got postponed… until today! 🌟 My LG and I finally had the chance for a cozy date, and what better plan than checking out this Japanese gem? The moment we stepped inside, we were wrapped in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting paired with traditional Japanese decor—wooden panels and delicate wall art—made it feel like a mini - Tokyo 🏮. Murasaki’s specialty? Japanese set meals. You pick a main, two sides, and get a bowl of fluffy rice and miso soup 🍚🥣. Desserts are extra, but trust me, they’re tempting 🍮. 🍽️ My Order: I went for a flavor adventure! The Grilled Ox Tongue 🥩 was a showstopper—tender slices with a smoky, charred crust. The Sweet Tamagoyaki 🥚 was a sweet - savory dream, and the Sesame Tofu? Creamy, nutty perfection. I finished with Matcha Pudding 🍵, a refreshingly intense end to my meal. 🍽️ LG’s Choices: LG’s Miso - Glazed Salmon 🐟 stole the show. Its crispy, golden skin crunched perfectly against the tender fish inside. The Potato Salad was creamy, and the Side Dishes added variety. And those Cream Puffs 🍨? Light, airy, and custard - filled goodness. Heads - up if you’re hungry! 🤤 Portions might leave big appetites wanting more. But if you prefer a balanced meal, it’s spot - on. The authenticity? Unbeatable. A Japanese owner and tables full of Japanese customers chatting away—definitely a good sign! 🗾 I found some dishes a bit salty (I like milder flavors 🤔), but LG loved every bite and is already planning our next visit. 📍 Note: Murasaki’s new home is where Omadi used to be (RIP Omadi 📍). The entrance, hidden in Hotel Helka, means asking the front desk to open up—it’s like finding a secret food haven! 🚪 Overall?
