This Overhyped Ecuadorian Spot DESERVES All the Praise!!!​​ ​​Rincon Costeno​​ - Tucked away in the alleyway on the south side of Strata in Elephant & Castle, this place is part of a row of delightfully authentic Latin American eateries!!! 😍 Most of these spots have been around forever, and you can tell from the crowd that the flavors are the real deal. Flashback to two Sundays ago when my friend and I were literally the only non-Latino patrons at a neighboring spot - not a single word of English spoken the whole time, felt like we'd teleported to another country!!! 🎸 Then some uncle just started strumming his ukulele and singing folk songs - couldn't understand a word but the vibe??? UNFORGETTABLE!!! Now back to our spot - clean simple decor but immaculately maintained. The food? Chef's kiss for Chinese taste buds, especially for us organ-meat lovers!!! 🤤 Flavors are above average with MASSIVE portions, and the family-run vibe is just heartwarming. Prices haven't budged in years - this place is a TOTAL steal!!! Not fancy, just good old home-cooking energy. The thick broth coats every piece of pork skin, tripe, and crispy pork intestine perfectly, with big chunks of potato for good measure!!!
