Hidden Gem Fine Dining in a Koreatown Plaza 🌟

A while ago, during LA Restaurant Week, a friend recommended this understated fine dining spot tucked away in a small Koreatown plaza—Hibi. Their Restaurant Week menu was the same as their regular offering, but slightly more affordable, making it a great deal! With seven courses in total, each dish brought delightful surprises 🍽️✨. Every single dish was delicious! As a Japanese-Korean fusion restaurant, each course carried flavors that perfectly suited my Asian palate. From uni (sea urchin) to wagyu beef and lamb chops—everything was thoughtfully prepared. There was just one puzzling dish: it was listed as geoduck (clam) served in a foamy “clay pot rice” style, but what I tasted was clearly abalone 🐚. I totally forgot to ask where the geoduck was—as a geoduck lover, I know I wouldn’t mistake it! But no worries, it was still delicious. The black sesame ice cream dessert was also incredible 🍨. They change their menu every season, but the quality seems consistently high. I really enjoyed my experience! The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, but good food is always worth waiting for! ⏳❤️ #LAEats #LAFoodGuide #FineDiningLA #KoreatownEats #HiddenGems #FoodieFavorites #LARestaurantWeek #JapaneseFusion #KoreanFusion #UpscaleDining
