Hidden Gem Thai in LA – I’d Drive to Hollywood Again and Again

A friend recommended this spot a while ago, but it was just too far for me. Finally got to try it when an out-of-state friend visited Hollywood — and oh my, this place deserves to be famous! 🍲 Tom Yum Koong with Shrimp Spice level adjustable — we chose 6 for a less spicy friend. As someone from Jiangxi, I didn’t find it very spicy (FYI). Perfect tanginess with strong lemongrass flavor. The shrimp were huge, fresh, and bouncy — so appetizing and delicious! 🍢 Chicken Satay A Thai food must-order for me — that peanut satay sauce is everything! The chicken was tender, well-marinated, and had that lovely charred aroma. 🦀 Crab Fried Rice Who can resist a plate of wok-fried crab rice bursting with real crab meat?! Seriously, just go for it — I’m out of words for how good this was. 🐚 Seafood Curry in Fresh Coconut Unique presentation and fantastic flavor! They beat an egg into the curry — as someone who loves adding eggs to instant noodles, I’m all about that thick, creamy texture. Mussels, scallops, squid, shrimp — all big and fresh. The coconut water inside was naturally sweet and refreshing. They even let us take the whole coconut home — no reuse worries here! 😂 🥩 Khao Soi with Beef Short Rib Every place does Thai curry differently, and theirs is rich, aromatic, and deeply flavorful. Coating the noodles in that sauce is a game-changer. The beef short rib was huge and fall-apart tender — dipped in the curry? Perfection. 🍨 Thai Coconut Ice Cream Not too sweet! Tastes like homemade ice cream with intense natural coconut flavor. The crushed peanuts added great texture. 🥥 Coconut lovers, this is a must-order! 🅿️ Parking on the west side is famously tough and pricey, but they validate parking in the structure behind the restaurant — free and convenient! ✨ Also just a 5-minute walk from Mixue Ice Cream — grab a drink on your way home. 🇹🇭 Pink Pepper Hollywood 📍 1638 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028 #LAEats #LAFoodFinds #LAFoodAndFun #LALife #LATravel #LosAngeles #LAThaiFood
