Hidden Italian Spot in Allston 🍴
📍 Carlo’s Cucina Italiana I had no idea there was such a hidden gem of an Italian restaurant in Allston! The flavors are great and the prices are very reasonable~ The owner is super nice—not only did he give us tiramisu on the house, but he also treated each of us to an after-dinner drink 😊 A fun and warm-hearted guy ✨ Our order: 1️⃣ Parmigiana with Pollo (beef version) 2️⃣ Parmigiana with Veal (chicken version) Two classic tomato-based pasta dishes 🍝 with huge portions! Didn’t try the chicken cutlet, but the steak was a bit firm, with a texture similar to plant-based steak. 3️⃣ Salmon Mussels with White Sauce Creamy pasta with mussels and salmon (not on the regular menu—our friend specially asked the owner to make it 🌟) 4️⃣ Lamb Chop Rice (forgot the name) Ordered by showing the staff a photo 📸 The lamb chops were super tender, paired with a red wine sauce that wasn’t heavy at all~ Massive portion with rice and sides underneath. 5️⃣ Fried Calamari Crispy fried calamari rings 🦑 disappeared from the plate as soon as they arrived! ⚠️ Tips: There’s often a wait on weekends and weekday evenings, but lunchtime is usually quiet. Great for those living nearby or wanting to try something different~ #BostonDining #BostonEats #BostonFood #ARAAlliance #AllstonFood #ItalianCuisine
