Highway 395 Series: North Lake Fall Foliage Guide đđ
Drove up to North Lake todayâitâs a bit past peak season now, so coming a few days earlier wouldâve been ideal. About half the leaves along the road have already fallen. If youâre planning a visit, come within the next day or two; by next week, the colors might not be as vibrant. North Lake Fall Viewing Locations: First Stop: Park at North Lake Day Use Parking & Restroom, N Lake Rd, Bishop, CA. From there, itâs about a 5-minute walk to the lake. Along the way, youâll find several small paths leading down to the creekâworth exploring too! đ˛đ§ Second Stop: Continue driving inward to North Lake Hiker Parking, Unnamed Road, Bishop, CA. Drive all the way until the road is blocked by a gate. Exact coordinates: 37°13'50.7"N 118°37'01.6"W After parking, walk toward the lake. On your left, youâll see beautiful autumn colors. There are open areas by the lake, but theyâre often occupied by anglers. đŁ A small valley along the road just before reaching North Lake is actually showing richer fall colorsâeven more stunning than the lake itself! If you canât make it in the next few days, Iâd recommend heading to McGee Creek insteadâthe foliage there should last a bit longer. Check my other post for details on that spot! đ #LosAngeles #Highway395 #FallColors #NorthLake #BishopCA #AutumnVibes #LeafPeeping #CaliforniaFall #RoadTrip #NatureGuide #LakeView #HikingSeason #ExploreCalifornia #FallFoliage
