Hiking in Seattle’s Winter Wonderland at Wallace Falls
🌟First hike of 2025: Wallace Falls via Woody Trail, indulging in the bath of negative ions and waterfall therapy. The trail was more beautiful than expected after the rain, as we strolled through the forest, feeling every pore on our bodies taking in the refreshing mountain air. “If our backyard looked like this, I’d be over the moon.” The second child’s remark probably sums up the highest praise for this trail today. 🌟Things to Note: The drive from Redmond to Wallace Falls State Park takes about 50 minutes. We arrived at the parking lot just before 11 am on Sunday and there were still plenty of parking spots available. A Discover Pass is required. The parking lot has pretty decent restrooms. 🌟We chose the route via Woody Trail, and this time we turned back after reaching Middle Wallace Falls. It’s about 2 miles from the parking lot to Middle Falls, making it 4 miles round trip. We took our time, stopping frequently, and the whole trip took us 3 hours. 🌟There were quite a few trees down from the storm along the way, which didn’t block the path but are worth keeping an eye out for. 🌟The difficulty of the trail is moderate, suitable for all ages, and we saw quite a few dogs along the way. It starts with an open path, then gradually ascends, with the sound of the waterfall accompanying you throughout. 🌟There’s a pavilion at the viewing area of the Lower falls, which is a great spot for a meal. There’s no place to sit and rest at the Middle falls. #HikingWithKids #MyHikingDiary #NatureHasTheAnswers #StartTheNewYearWithAHike #SeattleLife #GreatPlacesToTakeKidsInSeattle #GetCloseToNature
