Hollókő, the World Heritage Village in Hungary 🏡
Weekend trip around Budapest When you see the giant crow sculpture at the entrance of the village 🦅, you know you're almost there! Take a stroll around Hollókő, where you'll find mini museums, handicrafts, embroidery, prints, and not far away, the Hollókő Castle 🏰. In the mid-13th century, after the Mongol invasion, the construction of Hollókő Castle protected the area from future enemies. In 1987, as the only surviving traditional village in Hungary, Hollókő, along with the castle ruins and its surroundings, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After exploring the village, walk a few hundred meters to a signpost marked "Isten Tenyere Kilátó⬅️". Follow the mountain trail ⛰️ for over 40 minutes to reach the "Hand of God." I highly recommend this town — it's perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. #Hungary
