Besides the fancy La Mer and the brunch heaven Island Vintage Coffee (which I visited three times!), Oahu has many amazing spots. We rented a car for just 2 days and used Uber the rest of the time. I’ll note where driving is needed. ✅ WORTH IT ✅ 1️⃣ Haleiwa Joe's ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ North Shore gem 🌊 | Must drive Best prime rib I’ve ever had 🤤 | Walk-in only Not too touristy | Great price & incredible flavor! 2️⃣ Seven Brothers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ Must drive 🚗 Legendary burger with pineapple & onion rings — mind-blowing combo 🍍🍔 Fries were meh (soggy & greasy) but the burger… wow. My friend still dreams about it from Beijing! 3️⃣ Kono's Northshore ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Now open in Waikiki too 🌯 Giant pork burrito (over 1 lb!) | Add avocado & egg — so good you’ll cry 😭 Super affordable! 4️⃣ Foodland Poke ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Local supermarket chain 🛒 | Fresh, cheap, delicious You can sample or skip rice — great flexibility! 5️⃣ Wuwei Authentic Chongqing Noodles ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must for Chinese food cravings 🍜 Twice-cooked pork noodles — LEGIT & incredible 😋 Ate in + ordered takeout — couldn’t get enough! 6️⃣ Han No Daidokoro ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you splurge once, make it here 💎 $150 Miyazaki beef course — moved me to tears 🥹 Also had tongue, offal, rice — everything was perfect ~$350 CAD per person after tax/tip 😅 (way pricier than Japan!) 7️⃣ Mikiya Sukiyaki ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wagyu sukiyaki buffet 🍲 We came after Miyazaki beef, so it felt less special — but still great!
