Kona Coffee Purveyors is my absolute favorite place to get coffee in these United States!

Located in the heart of Waikiki, this exceptional café offers an unparalleled coffee and pastry experience that delights all the senses. My visits here have always been nothing short of extraordinary, making it a must-visit destination for anyone in Honolulu.

From the moment you step into Kona Coffee Purveyors, you are enveloped in the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the enticing scent of freshly baked pastries. The modern, stylish interior with its clean lines and cozy seating creates a welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for savoring a cup of coffee or enjoying a leisurely brunch.

The star of the show here is undoubtedly the Kona coffee. Sourced directly from the lush, volcanic slopes of the Big Island, Kona Coffee Purveyors offers some of the finest coffee you’ll ever taste. Each cup is expertly brewed to perfection, showcasing the rich, smooth, and complex flavors that make Kona coffee so renowned. Whether you prefer a classic pour-over, a velvety latte, or a refreshing cold brew, every sip is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship that goes into each batch.

What sets Kona Coffee Purveyors apart is its unique collaboration with b patisserie, a beloved San Francisco bakery known for its exquisite pastries. This partnership brings together the best of both worlds: exceptional coffee and world-class pastries. The kouign-amann, a caramelized, buttery pastry with layers of flaky goodness, is an absolute must-try. Paired with a cup of their signature Kona coffee, it’s a match made in heaven.

One of the unique aspects of Kona Coffee Purveyors | b patisserie is their commitment to quality and sustainability. They work directly with local farmers to source the highest quality coffee beans, ensuring fair trade practices and supporting the local economy. This dedication to sustainability is evident in every aspect of their operation, from the eco-friendly packaging to the ethically sourced ingredients used in their pastries.

For fellow tourists, a visit to Kona Coffee Purveyors | b patisserie offers more than just great coffee and pastries; it’s an experience. The knowledgeable and friendly staff are always eager to share their expertise, whether you’re curious about the coffee brewing process or looking for the perfect pastry pairing. Their passion for what they do is infectious and adds to the overall enjoyment of your visit.

A helpful tip for visitors: try to visit early in the morning to beat the rush. This popular spot can get quite busy, especially on weekends, but the experience is well worth it. If you’re in a hurry, their efficient takeaway service ensures you can enjoy their delicious offerings on the go.

Additionally, for those who fall in love with their coffee (and it’s hard not to), Kona Coffee Purveyors offers beautifully packaged coffee beans that make for a perfect gift or a delightful reminder of your visit. Their expert staff can also provide tips on brewing the perfect cup at home, allowing you to recreate the experience long after you’ve left.

Kona Coffee Purveyors | b patisserie is more than just a café; it’s a celebration of the art of coffee and pastry making. Whether you’re a dedicated coffee aficionado or simply looking for a memorable culinary experience in Honolulu, this café offers an unforgettable journey into the world of premium Kona coffee and exquisite pastries. Highly recommended for anyone seeking the best coffee and...

Kona Coffee Purveyors in Honolulu has undoubtedly secured its place as my favorite pastry haven in the vibrant city of Honolulu. Despite the occasional long lines, the overall experience is nothing short of delightful.

The anticipation builds as you join the queue, If you plan to visit, an early arrival might spare you the crowd, allowing for a more leisurely experience.

Now, let's dive into the main attractions – the pastries. These aren't just your ordinary treats; they've earned the prestigious James Beard award. The Kouggin Amman, a consistent favorite among patrons, is a true masterpiece – flaky, sweet, and perfectly balanced. The limited edition flavors, such as the Black Sesame Kouign-Amann and Lilikoi Kouign-Amann, offer a unique twist that elevates the pastry experience.

And then there's the coffee – the soul-soothing elixir that has captivated coffee enthusiasts. Featuring 100% Kona beans, the coffee here is not merely a beverage; it's an art form. The careful selection of beans and the meticulous brewing process result in a cup that many patrons boldly claim to be the best on the island and, dare I say, among the best they've ever had.

While the espresso may not receive unanimous acclaim for reaching greatness, it still stands as a commendable companion to the stellar pastries. Some patrons suggest going in the afternoon for a shorter wait time, offering a more relaxed experience without compromising on the quality of the pastries.

The ambiance of Kona Coffee Purveyors, influenced by the renowned B Patisserie in San Francisco, adds a touch of sophistication to the overall experience. The spacious coffee shop, though bustling, reflects a well-thought-out design that complements the culinary delights it offers. The combination of award-winning pastries, outstanding coffee. So, if you find yourself in Honolulu, embark on a gastronomic adventure at Kona Coffee Purveyors – a journey worth savoring. And did I mention there are other stores you can check out and walk around with your cup of coffee if you don't want to be part of the crowd and sit in the...

Kona Coffee Purveyors has a sophisticated name and a lot of hype, so while visiting Waikiki we gave it a shot. The pastries are many in numbers and each look very tasty; there are definitely several to choose from. Awesome combinations of coconut, almond, apples, pineapples and cinnamon throughout. The coffee menu is impressive as well boasting a number of fine espresso options.

I chose the cinnamon almond banana scone. It looked delicious, but upon actually eating it, it was a bit on the dry side. There was a faint cinnamon flavor, but the banana was very minimal.

For my beverage, I chose the kona nitro (over an iced americano, although they also serve an affogato). It was ok, actually not great at first, but half way through the drink it started smoothing out and becoming pleasant (I cant explain other than to say my initial reaction was unsatisfactory but now I'm sipping through and it seems fine). My opinion on the drink remains neutral; no better or worse than any other coffee establishment.

Prices: so high! They make Starbucks seem cheap. $23.04 for two espresso drinks and two pastries (and it wasnt like I was grabbing an omelet and pancake platter). I'd agree with some of the other reviews suggesting this as an overpriced touristy coffee spot. Actually living on island, I'd recommend several other coffee establishments over Kona Coffee Purveyors.

Service: the ladies behind the scenes in making the pastries were very nice and helpful. However, Daryl took our order and I felt that left something to be desired. While paying with a card, they turn the monitor around for the final signature. There actually was not a place to sign with a pen or your finger; it was simply asking for a tip. As there was no service past the counter, I'm not sure why I would tip. I think the prices should include the basic prep. Since no table service was given, any prep work should be covered under the price. Just my thoughts. Not a bad place, just not a great place. I will likely not return if only to try other coffee...
