How Is the Dessert Better Than the Main Course? 🍧😐

It’s been about a year since my last visit to Dolan’s, and I remember their hand-pulled noodles being absolutely delicious. But this time, things felt completely different. Stir-Fried Noodle Slices 🍲 Even though I wasn’t that hungry, I still left wanting more — that says a lot. The plate looked big, but the portion was surprisingly thin and small. It felt like less than half of what it used to be. Lamb Hand-Pulled Rice 🐑 This was a letdown too — the lamb was dry and tough, almost like tiny bits of jerky mixed into rice. The dish lacked moisture and flavor, nothing like the rich, aromatic lamb rice I’ve had before (see the last pic for a friend’s homemade version — now that’s the real deal). The only thing that really hit the mark was the yogurt with honey — creamy, smooth, and just sweet enough. Overall, a disappointing experience. I won’t be returning for Xinjiang food here. If anyone has recommendations for other good Xinjiang restaurants in LA, please share! 🙏 #LAEats #XinjiangFood #LAFoodReview #Letdown #YogurtSaveTheDay #FoodieSearch #LosAngelesDining 🥢🐏🍚⚠️💔
