How to Eat Better at UW in a Week Than Back Home
This edition is centered around Seattle — all reachable by UW buses. Good food is the only goal! UW babies can go on weekends or after early classes — but don't go too late, it gets dark early now 🌆 🍣 FOB Sushi Super affordable, tasty sushi with tons of options — there’s always something you’ll love! Has locations in DT & Bellevue. Every time I go, I leave with a huge platter — so satisfying. 🥥 Papaya Salad / Coconut Hotpot / Pork Cheek Bangrak Market Every dish here is amazing!! The coconut curry hotpot can be made completely non‑spicy — perfect for spice‑sensitive folks. The grilled pork cheek is fragrant and not greasy at all — guaranteed to impress! 🍜 Wagyu Roast Beef Aburasoba Kajiken If you like edible egg yolk — go for it! Personally, I find it rich but not fishy or heavy. The yogurt and egg yolk are the soul of this dish — so aromatic and delicious. Feels like Michelin‑level ramen at this price — totally worth it 😋 🔥 BBQ Woobling The corn cheese is delicious — a perfect contrast to my last post's pick. For BBQ here, skip the AYCE and go for the set menu — more variety and totally filling! Located in Bellevue. 🍲 Fish Cake Soup Tig Open until 2 AM — I think it’s run by the same owner as Late Night Kitchen? But the menu is bigger, and the fish cake soup is really comforting. Note: Friday & Saturday nights are 21+ only. That’s all for today — ate happily today, more to come tomorrow! #CollegeFoodGuide #ComfortFood #StudentEats #SeattleFood #UWLife #UniversityOfWashington #SeattleLiving #EatWellStudyWell
