📍Humboldt Forum, a grand garden that isn’t called a museum
🏛️ Humboldt Forum is perhaps the most impressive exhibition space I've seen in terms of curation and display. Everyone was busy snapping photos and admiring the stunning cave ceiling and murals. It’s said that a German expedition team spent 17 days cutting, packing, and transporting 12 boxes to bring them back and restore them. There's also a Qing Dynasty mother-of-pearl dragon chair, sparkling with beautiful seashell colors and reflections from every angle. 🏛️ To put it plainly, these exhibits are treasures looted from other countries, so the exhibition's focus is on "reflecting on colonialism," and it’s called a "forum" rather than a museum, which carries a lot of significance. 🏛️ In the Asian exhibition area, I saw the last piece and couldn’t help but burst out laughing a bit too loudly. I won't say more about that! 😄 #HumboldtForum #BerlinMuseum #Berlin #Museum #Germany #BerlinDayGuide #BerlinGuide #PostColonialism
