📝 Humboldt Forum is located in Berlin, Germany, named after the famous 19th-century German scientist and explorer Alexander von Humboldt and his brother Wilhelm von Humboldt. 📎 On the third floor, the Asian Museum houses several treasures: Guanyin of the Water Moon from the Song Dynasty Room 318 This exquisite statue of Guanyin is renowned for its delicate carving techniques and artistic expression. Seated in a semi-lotus position, her compassionate face and lowered gaze exude a gentle and dignified aura, with flowing drapery that appears natural and graceful. Fragments of the Kizil Caves Murals Rooms 314-320 The Kizil Cave collection at Humboldt Forum primarily consists of mural fragments brought back by German explorer Albert von Le Coq and his team in the early 20th century. Today, these murals are one of the most precious collections in the Asian Museum, showcasing the prosperity of Buddhist art along the Silk Road. Don’t miss the restored Cave 123 in Room 315! Ding Guangen's "The Teaching of the Buddha" Room 320 This enormous piece depicts the scene of Shakyamuni Buddha teaching his disciples. It is shown five times a day: 11:15, 12:45, 14:15, 15:45, and 17:15, each for 15 minutes, with documentaries shown at other times. 🔺 Other notable collections include: Room 317: A floor plan of the Taj Mahal, displayed twice every hour for five minutes each time. Room 320: Interior design by architect Wang Shu. #DiveIntoTheMuseum #MustVisitMuseum #BerlinLife #Germany
