I’ve also made it to the northwesternmost point of the contiguous U.S
This weekend, I visited the northwesternmost point of the continental U.S., the Makah Indian Reservation, and checked out two famous spots: Cape Flattery and Shi Shi Beach. 🔶 Admission: There’s a toll booth on the way where you need to pay $20 for a special pass valid until the end of the year. Neither national park nor state park passes can be used as a substitute. Card payments and cash are accepted. 🔶 Parking: The parking lot isn’t very large, so many cars park along the road. Since the trail isn’t long, cars leave gradually. There are restrooms in the parking lot. 🔶 The hike is a total of 1.2 miles round trip, taking 40-60 minutes. It has a slight incline but isn’t difficult, suitable for all ages. 🔶 I went at noon, and the lighting was just so-so… The sea on the left had severe reflections, so it looks white in photos, while the colors on the right were much nicer. 🔶 The downside is that it’s quite far from the city… You have to visit other places along the way to make the trip worthwhile! #Seattle #RomanticLifeDocumenter #BeautifulSceneryOnTheRoad #OffTheBeatenPath #WashingtonState #MeetUpAfterWork #SummerGatheringWithFriends #ClassicHike #MustHikeInALifetime
