I’ve been back from a five-day trip to Banff

I’ve been back from a five-day trip to Banff, and I want to share my true feelings. This isn’t meant to put anything down at all—it’s just to help you avoid pitfalls! If you’re planning a trip to Banff, sisters, read this first to get a sense of what Banff is like now! ⚠️ Banff Travel Tips to Avoid Pitfalls: Since 2023, private cars have been banned from the road to Moraine Lake. Now, the only ways to get there are by shuttle bus, public transport, or joining a tour group. Download offline maps from Google Maps in advance. There’s basically no cell service on the highways—you’ll only get signal in the towns of Banff and Jasper. The temperature difference between day and night in the park is huge. Be sure to bring plenty of clothes, both light and thick ones, so you can switch them out as the temperature changes. If traveling in summer, take sun protection and anti-mosquito measures, and carry bear spray with you. Bring a lightweight backpack, a water bottle, and hiking poles—there are lots of trails to hike. There are shuttle buses to the Moraine Lake parking lot, but you have to wait 20 minutes for each bus. Hotels don’t provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers—remember to bring your own! There are few restaurants on the highways and their prices are high, and there aren’t many gas stations either. It’s recommended to stock up on snacks and refuel your car in time. Banff National Park is extremely large, and the distance between attractions is very far. Public transport isn’t very convenient, so it’s better to join a tour group—small groups with fewer than 13 people, where you can stop and go as you like. It’s absolutely amazing! ⭐️ Must-Visit Attractions 📍 Peyto Lake: A glacial lake with a blue hue. From a high vantage point, the lake looks like a cat’s paw🐱—cute yet spectacular! 📍 Columbia Icefield: One of the seven natural wonders of the world, it’s a relic of the ancient ice fields in the Rocky Mountains. 📍 Emerald Lake: As its name suggests, it’s like an emerald inlaid in the Rocky Mountains. 📍 Moraine Lake: Featured on Canada’s 20-dollar bill, it’s recognized by countless photographers as the most worthwhile lake to visit—super photogenic! 📍 Lake Louise: Known as the “Sapphire of the Rocky Mountains”💎 📍 Banff Town: A vibrant commercial area where you can soak in hot springs, ski, and enjoy lots of delicious food! 📍 Banff Gondola: Take the gondola to the top to overlook the charming scenery of Banff Town and the Rocky Mountains. 📅 5-Day Trip Reference Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival and airport pickup in Calgary Day 2: Calgary → Bow Lake → Peyto Lake → Abraham Lake (Bubble Lake) Day 3: Athabasca Falls → Maligne Canyon → Fairmont Resort → Jasper Town → Columbia Icefield Day 4: Waterfowl Lake → Emerald Lake → Moraine Lake → Lake Louise → Banff Town Day 5: Banff Town → Johnston Canyon → Lake Minnewanka Cruise 🌟 Trip Highlights: 🚌 Small Group: Groups with fewer than 13 people, allowing for free stops and departures at will 🏨 Accommodation: 3 nights staying inside the national park, with beautiful views right outside the door 🚗 Transportation: Convenient round-trip service from Calgary, including free airport pickup and drop-off 💰 Inclusions: Banff Sulphur Mountain Gondola ride🚡, giant snowcoach experience🚜, Lake Minnewanka cruise⛵, and 2 helicopter experience spots per room🚁 🍝 Dining: Lunch at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, enjoying the stunning lake views up close #CanadaTravel #BanffGuide #Banff #LakeLouise #BanffNationalPark #BanffTown #BanffTravel #MoraineLake
