I Declare This the Best Italian Food I’ve Ever Had! 🇮🇹🍝✨

After pulling an all-nighter, I woke up Sunday afternoon craving Italian food for a friend visiting LA. My first thoughts were Bottega Louie and The Factory Kitchen, but after some research, I discovered Oste—and immediately booked a reservation! 🗓️💫 We went at 4 PM—it wasn’t crowded, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. From service to food to pricing, this place gets a perfect 10/10 from me! 💯 Let me break it down: 🥩 NY Strip Medium Rare The outside was perfectly crispy, while the inside remained tender and pink. Topped with chopped onions and capers, it felt light and refreshing yet deeply flavorful. 🍕 Mortadella Pizza Technically not a traditional pizza—it’s a thin crust topped with burrata, mortadella, and crushed pistachios. Tasty but a bit heavy on the olive oil (felt like they poured it freely!). 🍝 Pappardelle Alla Vaccinara Oxtail pasta—absolutely divine! The oxtail was melt-in-your-mouth tender without being greasy. Make sure every bite of pasta is coated in that rich sauce! 😋👌 🐚 Claudia Mussels They offer four unique mussel preparations. We chose the one with shallots and bacon—so aromatic! The mussels were fresh and sweet, though the broth was a bit rich for dipping bread (but still yummy!). ☕️ Espresso Smooth and strong—perfectly executed! 🍦 Desserts We tried the affogato and tiramisu (served with strawberries 🍓)—a match made in heaven! Honestly, every single dish was a hit. This is the kind of place I’d recommend to everyone! ⚠️ Let’s talk service: So many restaurants nowadays lack warmth, but Oste’s staff clearly has years of hospitality experience. They cleared plates gracefully (even stepping back politely!) and used phrases like “pardon my reach.” It’s now my go-to Italian spot in LA! Heads-up: Portions are generous—come hungry or be ready to take leftovers home! 🍝🥡 Have you been to Oste or have another favorite Italian restaurant in LA? What dish would you recommend?
