I Found the Biggest Pumpkin in LA with My Kid! 🎃🎯
Halloween hasn’t even arrived yet, but we just couldn’t resist getting into the festive spirit early! So we headed straight to Pumpkin Rock Trail for some autumn fun—and it did NOT disappoint! 👻🍂 📍2680 Valley Dr, Norco, CA 92860 🌟 How to Make Hiking Fun for Kids: ✅ Turn it into a "treasure hunt"! Before we started, I told my little one we’d spot lots of pumpkin graffiti along the way. He had a blast counting every single one we found! 🔍🎨 ✅ Let your kid be the tour guide! I handed over the “map” and let my son lead the way. His mission? Find the biggest pumpkin rock up there! 🗺️👦 ✅ Turn the trail into a nature class! We spotted cool desert plants and even some animal burrows. Who says learning can’t be fun? 🌵🐾 ✅ Celebrate at the summit! Reaching the top and taking photos with the giant pumpkin rock felt like a real accomplishment. So much joy and pride! 🏆📸 💡 Parent-Child Hiking Tips: 🌟 Wear comfortable sports shoes—there are quite a few loose rocks on the path. 🌟 Don’t forget sun protection! There’s hardly any shade along the way. ☀️🧴 🌟 I recommend starting from the south entrance—the slope is gentle and super kid-friendly. 🌟 The round trip takes about an hour, which is just the perfect length for little legs! 🌟 Bring exploration tools like a magnifying glass or a small collection bag. It makes the hike even more engaging! 🎒🔎 Seriously recommending this to all moms looking to cut down on screen time! Replace iPad time with outdoor time 🖥️🚫 Use nature observation to spark your child’s curiosity 🌿❤️ Lead by example—put away your phone and be fully present. Now THAT’s what I call meaningful family time! 👩👦💖 What are your favorite kid-friendly hiking spots around LA?
