I highly recommend Tender Smokehouse in Dallas!

🔥When people from California come to Texas, they definitely have to try Texas BBQ. There were so many highly ranked BBQ places that we were spoiled for choice. In the end, a friend of my girlfriend's, who is a local Texan, recommended this place to us—Tender Smokehouse! It has very few posts on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform), but it's highly praised by Americans. 🥢It's a family-owned business and, both the food and the service are amazing! The prices are also very reasonable. As you can see in picture 2, a half slab of spare rib is only $13, and the prime brisket (half a pound) is just $12.50. The ribs were the star of today's meal. They were incredibly delicious—juicy, fatty, and perfectly marbled. They were so tender that they fell off the bone. It was a truly soul-satisfying experience. 💥The brisket was quite tender, but a bit on the dry side compared to Phil's BBQ in San Diego. We also ordered the original sausage, which tasted a bit like Harbin sausage from China. Each person's plate came with some toasted bread and pickled onions. My girlfriend was curious about the bread on other tables. I confidently said it was probably mac and cheese, but it turned out to be the complimentary bread. When I asked the cashier about the drinks, she just handed me two cups and said I could help myself. I was still confused when she skipped the tip section during the checkout process. I left the store in a daze, realizing that the sodas were not charged. 🍲I was so used to the anxiety of tipping at Chinese restaurants in California that I didn't know what to do. I was thinking about whether to leave the tip on the table or if I needed to clean up the dishes myself after the meal. Just as we were about to finish cleaning up, a friendly waiter came over, took away the dishes, and reminded us to take the two plastic cups they had given us. He said we could use them to get more soda next time we eat there. It was a really wonderful and surprising experience! I was truly shocked and already planning my next meal there. I highly recommend this place anyone to in Dallas. #DallasFood #Dallas #DallasLife
