I just had a panini with an incredibly generous filling! 🥪👍

Everything went smoothly when I arrived in Turin today, and I felt very lucky. However, by the time I got to the city center, it was already 9 PM, and I was so hungry that I was a bit disoriented, just wanting to grab something to eat before checking in. This place was close to the Airbnb I booked, so I stopped by on my way. I ordered the Il VACCARO with soppressata, gorgonzola, lettuce, caramelized onion, and honey mustard. I asked for the bread with potatoes. 🌭 Soppressata: An Italian salami, usually made from pork, with a spicy flavor, sometimes with added chili or other spices. 🧀 Gorgonzola: An Italian blue cheese with a strong and slightly piquant flavor, and a creamy texture. I asked the staff to give me less sauce, and when they handed it to me, I realized that their honey mustard wasn't the yellow emulsified sauce but a translucent one, which was much more refreshing in taste. At first, the bread didn't taste any different from a regular panini, but then I found out that it had some roasted potato chips on top. I must be a potato head because I thought it was quite tasty. The sausage wasn't spicy or salty, and it didn't have any particular flavor. The caramelized onions were cooked to perfection, and you couldn't taste the raw onion's pungency. When I ordered, Google Translate didn't translate the blue cheese, so I had no preconceived notions about the unacceptable taste of blue cheese. This was my first time trying blue cheese, and paired with the sweet caramelized onions, the texture was actually quite good, very smooth and creamy. None of the ingredients stood out particularly, but together they were just right, very refreshing. It wasn't as stunning as the one in Florence, but it was still a good panini. It was warm, with the outside heated, and the filling was still cool, but not icy. This panini was enormous; I think if I weren't so hungry or if I weren't traveling alone or if I didn't want to avoid wasting food, I would have split it into two meals. 💰: 9.5 euros #Italy #Turin #ExploringEats #FoodAndFun #FoodIsLife #Panini #GlobalEatingSquad #SoloDining #HiddenGemRestaurantShare
