I want to have 100 meals with you in Barcelona — Maleducat
🌟🌟It’s been a while since I last recommended a restaurant. I’ve been eating well, but laziness has been getting the better of me. Every time I try to come up with a title, I feel too tired to even like it. From now on, I’ll use this series to document every day of serious eating in Barcelona. 🌟🌟Maleducat is what I would consider a restaurant in training for the high-end category. The environment, service, and dishes are all great. If you don’t drink, it’s about 50 euros per person. If you do drink, well, that’s another story. They have wines ranging from 20 to 70 euros. 🌟🌟The restaurant specializes in Western fusion cuisine, with many recommended dishes being raw. All the dishes we ordered that day had a very cremoso texture, which is quite delicate, and the sauces used were a bit thick. If you don’t like raw food and prefer something light, this might not be for you. Personally, I find this texture pairs perfectly with white wine; it’s both refreshing and great for drinking. 😍 🌟🌟The shrimp tartare appetizer was consistently good, with flavor and texture. After eating it, you’d want to raise your glass for more. Another dish was raw squid with Iberian pure fat ham. The proportion of raw squid was less, and the fat ham was a bit too much, making it a bit rich. I liked it, but if you’re afraid of it being too rich, you might want to skip it. 🌟🌟For the main course, the first dish was raw beef tartare. This appetizer also comes in a single portion with bread. This dish is either loved or hated, and I think it depends on the freshness of the beef and the seasoning. This place does it without any fishiness and it’s very smooth. We quickly finished it off. 🌟🌟The second dish was codfish with stewed beef tendon. Note that it’s tendon, not beef. The codfish was crispy, and the tendon was completely soft and melted in the mouth. The third dish was Iberian pork with sweet pepper. The meat was cooked to perfection, very tender. Normally, I choose neck meat for Iberian pork, as the pluma part can be tough, but they handled it exceptionally well. 🌟🌟For dessert, we ordered two dishes. The passion fruit and basil ice cream was very refreshing, with the basil leaf adding a quirky but not at all unpleasant texture. The cheesecake was also delicious, delicate and slightly salty, but not stunning. I think their desserts are all about being refreshing and not cloying, complementing the main courses well. 🌟🌟Finally, the restaurant environment is the opposite of its name. The people dining seem quite well-mannered, and the dining atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, very comfortable. I’ll definitely go back. #Barcelona #BarcelonaFood #BarcelonaFoodExploration #BarcelonaTravel #RestaurantRecommendation #GirlfriendsDinner #DateNightRestaurant
