Iceland Food Guide(part 2)
Vogafjós Farm Resort near Mývatn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ordered beef burger, Arctic char, and two pots of tea (ISK 11,380) This famous farm resort offers the unique experience of dining while watching cows in the barn. We opted for the dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy snowy views while eating - equally wonderful! Grill 66 at Olís Gas Station in Siglufjörður ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Got a burger combo (ISK 1,995) When we found no restaurants open early morning, this gas station surprise became our breakfast. Simple but delicious burger enjoyed in the car with breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains meeting the sea - pure heaven! Bara Bistro in Borgarnes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had lamb chops, fish & chips, and drinks (ISK 8,600) Tiny but mighty with 4.9 Google rating. The passionate owner serves decent food - the homemade lamb patty was thick but small (generous sides made up for it). Good fish & chips though not extraordinary. Harbour Cafe on Snæfellsnes Peninsula ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ordered lamb chops, salmon, and drinks (ISK 9,910) My husband preferred these bone-in lamb chops over Bara's. The salmon was perfectly fatty and sweet. Came with salad and heaps of local baby potatoes (at least 10 per person - impossible to finish!). #Harbour Cafe#Grill 66 Borgarnesi#Vogafjós Farm Resort#food#Island#travel guide#Reykjavik#food guide
