If You Can Only Visit One Art Gallery in Venice πΌοΈπ
In Venice, a city brimming with artistic flair, there are countless galleries and foundations. But if I had to recommend just one, it would have to be the Peggy Guggenheim Collection! Founded in 1949 by Peggy Guggenheim of the art-collecting Guggenheim family, this collection boasts world-class art pieces worth forty million dollars, with each work captivating visitors and leaving them spellbound π¨. The art here spans various movements including Cubism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism, featuring masterpieces from renowned artists such as Picasso, Magritte, Duchamp, Twombly, Mondrian, Bacon, Dali, and more. If you have ample time, this is the perfect place to spend an afternoon, taking your time to admire the art. In addition to the main building, the garden also displays a series of sculptures, including works by one of my favorite artists, Calder π€. #OffTheBeatenPath #Venice #Italy #ArtGallery #Exhibition #Art #Travel #WeekendGetaway
