In Botafogo–A Restaurant Recommended by a Rio Professor🍴

When I visited Rio, a local professor recommended Pura Brasa in the Botafogo neighborhood, saying it was his regular "canteen"—and it really didn’t let me down! The place is clean and comfortable, with a warm, lively vibe, and none of the forced formality you sometimes get in tourist-focused spots~😊 Surprisingly, it’s also a daily dining spot for nearby office workers! During lunchtime, the restaurant is almost packed—white-collar workers in suits, students with canvas bags all squeezed together, the clink of cutlery mixing with laughter, so down-to-earth. But luckily, the turnover is fast; we didn’t wait long to get a table, and the waitstaff are quick too—taking orders and serving food without delay. They even kindly handed over an English menu, so no need to guess blindly at Portuguese, which is super friendly to tourists😉 You can eat extremely well for around 50-60 reais per person! There are classic local Brazilian set meals—stewed beans with grilled meat, fried bananas, every bite is a solid taste of the local flavor. You can also order regular grilled meat a la carte: the sizzling Picanha (rump cap) is cut off and dipped in a little sea salt, so delicious it makes you want to tap your feet🍖. The restaurant also has various local beers; a cold sip goes perfectly with the grilled meat to cut through the richness~🍻 Highly recommend it to friends who want to experience local flavors without being overcharged with "tourist prices"! No need to dress up—just sit down and have a casual meal like the locals, and even the air feels relaxed~💯 #Brazil #Rio
