In Toronto, I Can Always Trust This Matcha Spot 🍵✨

📍 Saryo – the matcha dessert shop inside North York’s Konjiki Ramen This place has been around for years, and true matcha lovers already know it well 🫶 The original store has been in Japan for over 20 years, using matcha straight from Kyoto. I recently noticed they have some new items and had to try them 🏃‍♀️ Ended up putting together a full matcha feast – absolutely satisfying! Sharing here for those who haven’t tried Saryo yet. They pretty much only serve matcha & hōjicha items. All limited editions are also matcha or hōjicha related 🍵 Even their desserts revolve around matcha! The matcha soft serve is AMAZING – a big generous swirl in a waffle cone. Today I tried the Matcha Anmitsu Bowl: Rich matcha ice cream over matcha jelly, with chewy mochi, strawberries, and sweet red beans 🍓🫘❤️ If you’re not into ice cream but love chewy textures, go for the Warabimochi Set – only $8.35! Comes with a pot of green tea, matcha warabimochi with kuromitsu (brown sugar syrup) and red bean paste. Great value, super comforting and delicious 🍡💚 📍 Saryo Cafe 5051 Yonge St, Toronto #TorontoFood #Matcha #MatchaDesserts #HiddenGems #Toronto #JapaneseFood
