π£ Indianapolis | Mt Fuji β A Refined Japanese Experience!
Sharing a recent find in downtown Indy β Mt Fuji Japanese Restaurant π―, a stylish spot with quality dishes worth trying! π Location: Right in the heart of downtown, just steps from the Soldiers & Sailors Monument. π ΏοΈ Street parking available (~$1/hour). β¨ The vibe is modern and bright, with elegant lighting β not your old-school izakaya. β° Tip: Arrive early! Popular items like uni (sea urchin) sell out quickly. π½οΈ What We Ordered: 1οΈβ£ Mt Fuji Skewers π’ An appetizer with beef, chicken, or pork options. We tried beef β surprisingly familiar and delicious, almost like Chinese-style skewers! π₯© $11.95. 2οΈβ£ Kumamoto Oysters π¦ͺ Small but sweet and fresh! $3.75 each. 3οΈβ£ Toro Handroll π Couldnβt get straight toro (sold out), but this handroll was still buttery and satisfying. $9 each. 4οΈβ£ A5 Wagyu π Thinly sliced A5 beefβ¦ meh. π Overpriced ($19.5) and served slightly cold. The edible gold leaf felt unnecessary. Skip this! 5οΈβ£ Sashimi Regular π A mix of salmon, tuna, etc. Fresh and high-quality β much better than Asakaβs (which often tastes frozen!). π§ $28.5. Deluxe version available for larger groups. 6οΈβ£ Ace Roll π A standout! π€ Contains salmon, tuna, tempura crab, cucumber, and eel sauce β complex flavors and expertly rolled. Highly recommend! $19.99. 7οΈβ£ Spicy Salmon Roll πΆοΈ Solid classic roll. $8.75. πΈ Cocktails: Also tried two cocktails ($10-20 each). Good but not mind-blowing. π¬ Verdict: Great ingredients, nice ambiance, and decent service. Downtown location = higher prices. π΅ Price: ~$80/person after tip (not the $20-30 you might see online π ). π Menu attached for reference! π¦ Happy Thanksgiving! π #PurdueUniversity #Indianapolis #JapaneseFood #Sashimi #SushiLovers #FoodReview #IndyEats π±πβ¨
