Restaurant: Marché Moderne Address: 7862 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Newport Beach, CA 92657 Reservations: Open Table I’ve been a fan since their days on the third floor of South Coast Plaza, where I’d often go for brunch. It’s also been one of my top choices for dinner gatherings over the years. A few years ago, they moved to Newport Coast, stopped serving lunch, and dinner reservations have become increasingly hard to get. That’s why this is the restaurant I’m most reluctant to share—it’s already so hard to book a table! 😅 Luckily, the owner is loyal to regulars. Whenever I call to reserve and they see my number, they know I’ve been coming for years and always find a way to squeeze me in. ❤️ 👨‍🍳 The chef’s skills seem to get better every year—whether they brought in new talent or the original chef leveled up, each menu feels more impressive than the last. Compared to Michelin-starred spots, Marché Moderne offers incredible value—yet, personally, it leaves a deeper impression than many starred restaurants I’ve tried. Many of the servers have been here for 8+ years—they remember regulars, know my preferences, and even bring my favorite wine with just a glance. 🍷✨ I truly believe this place deserves a Michelin star, but a part of me hopes it never gets one… because then it’d be even harder to book! 😂 No specific dish recommendations—everything is exceptional.
