Irvine Eats|Sagami Japanese Cuisine 🍱🎌

Recently discovered this Japanese spot with some seriously tasty dishes—their unagi don and Wagyu beef rice bowl are amazing! Wanted to share my experience with you all~ This review is totally based on my personal opinion—no ads or sponsorships here! 🙏 📍 Address: 3850 Barranca Pkwy Suite B, Irvine, CA 92606 💰 Price Range: Around 50 per person if you skip sashimi; 80–100 if you include it. Quick Ratings: 🏠 Ambiance: 7/10 – Cozy but small, lighting was pretty dim, so we chose to sit outside. 💁 Service: 7/10 – Staff were friendly, but they kept forgetting our requests. 🍽️ Food: 9/10 – I truly think their unagi and Wagyu rice bowls are top-notch! 🦀 Soft Shell Crab: Very lightly seasoned, but the crab was super crispy. Took 30 minutes to arrive 🕧. Tasted pretty good with soy sauce! 🍚 Unagi Rice Bowl (Hitsumabushi): My must-order every time! They offer two versions: regular and premium. The difference is the amount of eel. The photo shows the premium one—generous portions! Tender, flavorful eel. Highly recommend! 👍 🥩 Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl (Niku Mabushi): Also comes in two options—the pricier one has more beef. I asked for my beef well-done (usually it's more rare). Super tender, lightly seasoned, but you can add your own sauces. Definitely recommend! 🍣 Omakase of the Day: The sushi selection changes daily. It's a variety of nigiri with fresh sashimi. Really delicious, but I don’t strongly recommend it—these few pieces cost over $80. Final Thoughts: If you're craving unagi or Wagyu rice bowls, this place won’t disappoint! But if you're coming mainly for sashimi, there might be better options elsewhere. 💬 What’s your favorite Japanese dish in Irvine? Share your go-to order below! 👇 💬 Tried Sagami before?
