Heard this place is considered one of the finest Mexican restaurants—so we had to see just how fine it is! Javier’s has several locations across Southern California; this time we chose the Newport Beach spot. FYI: For a Saturday night reservation, you’ll need to book a month in advance! 📅 The atmosphere is absolutely unbeatable—facing the ocean 🌊, surrounded by palm trees and good vibes 🌴. We ordered three dishes: LA TABLITA 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A must-order! Super generous portion—just looking at it makes you happy 😋. You can choose four meats: beef, chicken, shrimp, or pork. Beef is a classic choice; we went with pork this time. Both meats were delicious! With all the fresh toppings, you can build your own tacos—so satisfying! If you’re not a big eater, this platter could easily fill two people. ENCHILADAS 🌟🌟🌟 A classic dish that many people order. Corn tortillas stuffed with your choice of meat—shrimp, crab, or lobster. We tried the lobster 🦞. Honestly, it was just okay. The tortilla was a bit too thick and overpowering, and the lobster filling was somewhat minced and bland. Given another chance, I’d probably skip it. HOUSE SALAD 🌟🌟🌟🌟 We also got a salad to balance out the meal—a classic Caesar salad. Great for cutting through the richness of all that meat!
