Irvine Korean Food|Huge Portion Galbi Jjim

Having lived in Irvine for years, Yoo’s Place has become a regular spot for our family. I used to go to Sun Nong Dan often, but once I tried their Galbi Jjim, I was hooked — it just suits our taste better. The medium size is already huge, perfect for sharing with the family. 🥘 Galbi Jjim (Braised Beef Rib with Rice Cakes) You can choose spicy or non-spicy. I prefer the savory soy-based version — richer and not overly sweet. The beef ribs are tender and fall apart easily. Loaded with small potatoes, pumpkin, rice cakes, and glass noodles — great texture and layers of flavor. 🧀 Add Cheese for Extra Indulgence Highly recommend adding cheese 🧀 — melts into stretchy goodness when mixed, wrapping around the ribs for a creamy, savory combo. Perfect for “cheese + meat” lovers! 🍡 Rice Cakes Deserve a Shoutout Not your typical frozen strips — theirs are bigger, softer, and chewier, soaking up the sauce beautifully. Pairs wonderfully with the beef. 🍲 Stone Pot Bibimbap Consistently tasty — served hot with a nice crispy rice layer at the bottom. A great side to balance the rich stew. 🐟 Fried Fish Crispy outside, tender inside — best enjoyed hot. Adds nice variety to the meal. Overall, this place is generous in portion, reliable in flavor, and great for family meals. If you love fall-off-the-bone beef ribs + chewy rice cakes + melty cheese, give it a try! We spent around $120 but definitely over-ordered — one Galbi Jjim is enough for a family of three! 😅 📍 Yoo‘s Place 2626 Dupont Dr, Irvine, CA 92612 #LifeInNorthAmerica #LAEats #IrvineFood #KoreanFood #IrvineEats #IrvineLife #FoodieIrvine
