Island Chill Plan🏝️ | 🇪🇸 Málaga + Mallorca
Day 1: Málaga (Nerja) Málaga has two bus stations to Nerja—Puerto Málaga and Málaga Station. 🚌 Book tickets on Alsa. Pro tip: Get the 7.65€ 3-ride pass (cheaper than round-trip tickets). Just remember to redeem your preferred time slot 1 hour before departure! Balcón de Europa is basically a big seaside platform with nice views. Nearby, there’s a popular photo spot and steps leading to a small but crowded beach. The town is tiny—half a day is enough to explore. Food options are pretty similar (most menus are Spanish-only—thank god for translation apps 😅). Randomly picked a seaside restaurant: pasta was meh, but the mushroom "rice" (more like quinoa?) was insanely salty. Sat by the ocean, felt the breeze… and the salt. 🧂 Day 2: Mallorca First stop: Restaurante La Gran Tortuga (a spot!). Went on a Tuesday (their off-day), so it was less crowded. The area is a cute Mediterranean-style neighborhood—no beach access, but the railing views are great for photos. 📸 Afternoon at Cala Major Beach, but the lighting was off—instead of dreamy "jellyfish sea," it looked like winter melon rind water 🍈. Dinner at Restaurante El Mundo (highly recommended on 🍠). Their single-portion paella was MASSIVE (like a griddle pan??), but legit one of the best we tried. Bonus: English menu! Day 3: Mallorca Morning at Portals Nous Beach—finally, actual jellyfish sea! White sand, super soft, and the nearby hill offers killer views. 🌊 Afternoon at Playa de Illetes (best budget-friendly "glass water" spot). Super clear, and at 20°C, the sun made the water feel warm enough for a quick dip. ☀️ Found a Chinese-owned "Sha County Snacks"—owner was super sweet, and their fried rice hit different. Study-abroad stomach = healed. 🍚❤️ #Málaga #Mallorca #Spain #SpanishTravel #JellyfishSea #GlassWater #MálagaTravel #MallorcaGuide #StudyAbroad #UKStudents
