It’s time to warm up with a cozy bowl of seafood tofu soup rice 🍚
London has welcomed winter early this year ❄️ It’s only mid-November, and the average daily temperature is already around 1 or 2 degrees, with the feels-like temperature dropping to below zero. I went to Covent Garden to see the Christmas lights last night and was so cold that I ended up having a Korean meal nearby. It was supposed to be a BBQ restaurant, but surprisingly, the soup rice and fried chicken turned out to be the best. 🔅 Seafood Soft Tofu Jjigae - £12.5 The seafood soft tofu jjigae here is delish! Although it looks like a small pot, it’s packed with ingredients – brimming with baby octopus, squid, mussels, shrimp, and tender tofu 🍲 The flavor is just the right amount of spicy, perfect for soaking rice. It’s so good that you can’t stop eating it spoonful by spoonful. 🔅 Soy Garlic Chicken - £12.8 The boneless soy garlic chicken balls are yummy, with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. They would make an excellent dish to pair with drinks, I bet. 🔅 Pork Belly BBQ - £14 🔅 Beef Bulgogi BBQ - £13.5 The grilled pork belly and Korean-style beef bulgogi were a bit disappointing. The pork belly seemed unmarinated, just pan-fried. Although it didn’t have the distinctive British pork smell, it lacked soul ❌ The Korean-style BBQ had a sweetish flavor, which was okay but not impressive. 💰 £20-30 per person ✍️ The restaurant has limited seating, so it’s best to make a reservation if you’re planning to go on a Friday night or over the weekend. Trust me, I speak from experience haha 😉 #LondonFoodieLife #LondonLiving #GlobalFoodSquad #LondonKoreanFood #LondonFoodExploration #LondonHiddenGems #CoventGardenEats #FoodieMap #WinterEats
