Italian Charm in a Dallas Alley
š“Iāve been procrastinating for two months about trying Lucia, this Italian restaurant. I finally went, following the trend, just before Valentineās Day. Itās said that you need to make a reservation weeks in advance. The food was neither cheap nor served in large portions, but at least the taste didnāt disappoint, and both the ambiance and service were good. š¦I really dislike restaurants that charge for bread before the meal, so I didnāt order it. I ended up drooling over the steaming hot bread on the next table. Iāll definitely get some next time! Their menu changes frequently. š„¦For the appetizer, I had Grilled Wagyu Beef Tongue. The thick slices of beef tongue were perfectly grilledājuicy, not greasy or tough, and absolutely delicious! It was so good that a few pieces just werenāt enough! š°For the main course, I skipped the Italian dumplings (since Iām not a fan) and went with Risotto and Fettuccine. Both were a bit salty and rich, but with my preference for strong flavors, they were perfect when coated in sauce and topped with black truffle. š„The final dish was Tilefish. The fish was incredibly tender! The only downside was the side dishāceleriac, which has a strong flavor and a crisp, juicy texture that didnāt match the delicate fish. It would have been better with something like potatoes or carrots. š¤©Overall, it was good but not the best Iāve ever had. If the portions were larger and the prices a bit lower, the value would be much better. However, itās still a great choice for a date. Letās go, everyone! #RecorderOfRomanticLife #WhatShouldIEatToday #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasFood #DallasExploration #DateRestaurant
