Italian Cuisine ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ Carbone Dallas
The stark contrast between the highly sought-after reservations at New Yorkโs Carbone and the relatively easy booking experience at Carbone Dallas is quite notable. It would be a disservice to its reputation not to visit this place at least once. The dramatic Gucci-style decor and tableware make it an ideal spot for a romantic date. Pre-meal Bread ๐๐๐๐๐ The bread is insanely delicious, making me drool just thinking about it. Unlike the typical hard, dry bread often found in Italian fine diningโthink ciabatta or grissiniโCarboneโs focaccia is soft, oily, and fragrant with Italian herbs. Itโs an unexpectedly delightful treat! Octopus Leg in Olive Oil ๐๐๐๐๐ The octopus leg is perfectly roasted with a crispy exterior. Drizzled with olive oil and topped with crispy fried garlic slices, itโs paired with tangy zucchini and bell peppers. This refreshing appetizer is a great way to start the meal. (Note: The portion is a bit small, with only three small pieces of octopus leg.) Mixed Grilled Clams ๐ The clam platter features three different varieties, each paired with uni, basil crisps, and breadcrumbs. I found the clams a bit fishy, possibly due to the freshness of the ingredients, but my friend didnโt mind. Overall, the dish was quite average and didnโt leave a particularly unique impression. Lobster Ravioli ๐๐๐๐๐ This dish was truly a standout! The ravioli is filled with fresh, tender chunks of lobster meat, served in a creamy cheese and lemon broth. Itโs light and refreshing, making every spoonful a burst of lobster flavor. #RomanticLifeRecorder #StudentEats #ItalianCuisine #DallasCuisine
