Izakaya Osen in Irvine 🍣✨
This Irvine location is relatively new—opened in the last couple of years—and I come here often. Lots of people say it’s even better than the LA branch (really? 😲) The menu is quite diverse, with a good mix of raw and cooked dishes. They also serve yakitori (though it’s just okay). The premium sashimi platter is huge—great for sashimi lovers and pretty good value! The Miso Crab Salmon—salmon wrapped around crab meat—is so flavorful 🤤 (the crab is cooked). Also love the omakase bowl: toro, uni, and ikura over rice, wrapped in nori. I finish the whole bowl every time!
