🌸 Japan | Uji Nara 🌸
July vacation in Japan is on! I'll share the travel guide gradually. I arranged a day in Kyoto to visit Uji and Nara, covering all the main attractions in one day. I think it's a perfect day trip, so here's a super detailed route and transportation guide for you. 📌 The times below are approximate; you can adjust according to your preferences, but I think this way allows you to enjoy each place well. I've also marked them in English for easy map search. 🚊 9:20, Kyoto Station → Uji Station, take the JR to Uji, local train takes 30 minutes, express train takes 20 minutes. This timing ensures arrival before 10 AM. 🍵 9:50, Nakamura Tokichi Honten, open at 10 AM. Line up before opening to get a number, ensuring the shortest wait. 11:30, Byōdō-in Temple, head to Uji's most famous spot after eating, admission is ¥700. 12:15, Uji River - Uji Bridge - Uji Shrine - Ujikami Shrine, follow the route down. 🍵 1:00, Itoh Kyuemon, buy a matcha ice cream on the way back to the station. 🚊 1:30, Uji Station → Nara Station, return to Uji Station and take the train to Nara, express train takes 30 minutes, local train takes 45 minutes. 🚌 2:00, Nara Station → Kasuga Taisha Honden, right outside the JR station is the bus stop, take bus 77 directly to Kasuga Taisha. 2:30, Kasuga Taisha, stroll around after getting off. 3:00, Mount Wakakusa, follow the signs, admission is ¥150. Buy deer biscuits to feed on the mountain and enjoy the panoramic view of the city. 4:00, Nigatsudo, continue along the path. 4:30, Tōdai-ji, arrive at Tōdai-ji before 5 PM for a visit, admission is ¥800. 5:30, Nara Park, exit along the path and you'll find the Nara Park with the most deer and people. Feed the deer one last time. 🍡 6:30, Nakatanidou, arrive before 7 PM to buy mochi at Nakatanidou. 🍜 6:45, Kamaiki, next door is this udon specialty shop, recommended by Michelin, with a wide selection of udon that's very tasty. 🚊 7:45, Nara Station → Kyoto Station, take any JR train back to Kyoto, approximately 50 minutes. 💥 Above, I personally think it's a very perfect and smooth one-day trip route for Uji Nara, with no detours, basically covering all the main attractions. Welcome to follow this route, and stay tuned for more Japan travel guides. #Japan #JapanFreeTravel #KyotoTravel #Nara #NaraDeer #NaraFood #Uji #UjiMatcha #TravelPhotography #TravelGuide
