Japan | Kyoto Nijo Castle & Heian-jingū Shrine📷

During my two trips to Kansai in 2009 and 2016, I visited 12 out of the 17 World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto. 📚. Especially in 2009, Japan 🇯🇵 had not yet opened up independent travel for Chinese tourists, so we went with an improvement visa 🪪. Naturally, there were fewer tourists back then. 📚. The deer in Nara 🦌 were not as aggressive, and the Kyoto maple leaf 🍁 spots were still serene and peaceful. Of course, there were pros and cons. There were no blogs from young travelers, and there wasn't much information on budget travel to Japan. 📚. We mostly relied on articles from Taiwanese compatriots' guesthouses to do our homework 📚. Below ⬇️ are some long-exposure photos of Kyoto taken with an ND filter—Heian Shrine & Nijo Castle (since there are many Kyoto photos, I'll introduce them in several parts). 📸 Heian Shrine was established in 1895 to commemorate the 1100th anniversary of Emperor Kanmu's relocation of the capital to Kyoto. 📚. Nijo Castle, also known as Nijo Palace, was the residence of the Shogun in Kyoto. Built in 1603, Nijo Castle is a symbol of the power of the Edo Shogunate. 🏰 #Kyoto 🌸
