Japan Kyoto, Arashiyama is so beautiful! (Part 1)
On the third day in Kyoto, I took the subway JR San-In Line Local from Kyoto Station to Saga-Arashiyama Station (15 minutes). π ππΈ Arashiyama Bamboo Grove πΊπIt's about a 10-minute walk to the bamboo grove path, which is approximately 100 km long. This area has had deep significance in Japanese culture for over 1,000 years. ππΈ The bamboo grove, cultivated by nobles during the Heian period, has been protected to this day. (Arashiyama is free all day!) πΏ πΊπKameyama Park to Togetsu Bridge From the Arashiyama bamboo grove, walk through Kameyama Park to reach the Togetsu Bridge. ππΈ Named for the moon that appears to cross the bridge, Togetsu Bridge is a symbol of Arashiyama.
