Japan Food and Tea Diary
P1: Nomura Art Museum Tea Room in Kyoto πΏπ΅ Located near Nanzen-ji and Eikando, you can enjoy a tea utensil exhibition or a tea set meal for 30-40 RMB per person. The view outside the window is lush green, and the wagashi (Japanese confections) are colorful but very sweet. πΏπ΅ The staff, an elegant silver-haired grandma in a kimono, adds to the charm. πΏπ΅ P2: Genji Monogatari Museum Tea Room Fujiflower in Uji π’π Right after visiting the Byodoin Museum, you'll find this spot with a view of the museum and greenery. It's quiet and the tea is affordable. I had an iced matcha and hot roasted tea set for 30-35 RMB each. πΏπ΅ πΏπ΅ P3: Yunshang Tea Pavilion at The Tale of Genji Museum in Uji The environment is great with a view of a dry landscape garden and greenery. It's quiet and the desserts are particularly delicious. π’π I had roasted tea ice cream, hot matcha, and hot roasted tea, all at a reasonable price. #Kyoto πΏπ
