Japan Temples | Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion) ๐
Reasons to Visit ๐ ๐๐ข The dry landscape garden (kare-sansui) and the moss-covered grounds of Ginkaku-ji create an incredibly delicate courtyard that is definitely worth seeing. It has a similar style to Sanzen-in Temple but with its own unique charm. After visiting, you can directly follow the famous Philosopher's Pathโa quiet, scenic trail with few tourists. ๐๐ข Along the way, you'll find beautiful views, sweet shops, and charming boutiques. Itโs never boring and truly captures the essence of Kyoto. The path leads all the way to Nanzen-ji Temple. After exploring, you can either walk or take a short 1-2 bus stops to Heian Shrine. ๐ ๐๐ธ Itinerary for the Day: Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion): Start your day with a visit to this iconic temple. Philosopher's Path: Enjoy the peaceful stroll along this scenic route. Nanzen-ji Temple: Explore this historic temple complex. ๐๐ธ Heian Shrine: End your sightseeing here. Kamogawa River or Shijo Shopping Street: Head here for dinner and shopping after your tour. ๐ ๐๐บThis itinerary is perfectly paced with no downtime. The transitions between attractions are seamless, and thereโs always something interesting to see or do. Itโs one of my top-recommended routes in Kyoto! ๐ธ #Ginkakuji #KyotoTravel ๐ฟ
