Japanese Cuisine in Charlotte | A Taste Feast of Sushi & Yakitori
👀Japanese Cuisine in Charlotte | A Taste Feast of Sushi & Yakitori YUME Ramen Sushi & Bar👣 One night after watching a movie, a scene where the heroine and her lawyer celebrated winning a lawsuit in a Chinese restaurant suddenly sparked my craving for sushi. 🍊 🍟🍟So, on a friend’s recommendation (even though she’d never been there herself), we headed to this restaurant.🌳 First came the drinks. My dining buddy ordered a Matcha Highball.🍅🍔 “The matcha flavor is mild at first sip, with a touch of sweetness.🌹 The whiskey isn’t overpowering, and there’s a refreshing hint of lemon juice and cucumber,” they said.🌸 As for me, I went for the classic Calpis, of course (God, I wish Calpis flowed from the tap!).💕💕 ✨✨Next up were the yakitori dishes—my must-order is always the chicken offal platter. I was pleasantly surprised to find Chicken Hearts, Chicken Gizzards, and Chicken Skin on the menu. 🍱🍱 🌈🌈The skewers were coated in a savory-sweet Japanese sauce and sprinkled with a pinch of spicy chili powder, making them perfect for pairing with drinks.🍵☕ 🍔Then came the star of the show: the sushi. We ordered three varieties, which arrived all at once. First were the regular menu staples: Lion King Roll and Chubby Toro Sushi. 🌹 The Lion King Roll is filled with imitation crab sticks, topped with salmon and spicy mayonnaise, then torched to create that perfect Maillard reaction—ideal for those who aren’t fond of raw fish.🐟 Next was the Chubby Toro Sushi, wrapped with lightly seared (mostly still raw) tuna belly, covered with minced tuna, and drizzled with a touch of ginger soy sauce. 🍧🍶 The rich🍚, buttery flavor of the tuna melted in my mouth. Last was a special recommendation of the day (I didn’t take a of the menu and have completely forgotten its name).🍞🍞 Stuffed with imitation crab sticks and topped with 3 or 4 kinds of sashimi, it was dressed with a light yuzu vinegar sauce that was incredibly appetizing.🥬🥬 Overall, the seafood here is fresher than at Musashi, and just as good as at Prime Fish. 🍇 🍏What makes their sushi rolls stand out is the unique, perfectly balanced seasoning—no need for extra soy sauce at all. 🍐 Next time, I’ll definitely try their nigiri sushi. Word on the street is their ramen is pretty amazing too!🌻🌻 Address: 1508 S.
