Japanese Cuisine Near UTD

☕️This Japanese restaurant is located near the Richardson exit of Highway 75, just a stone’s throw away from UTD. On a Sunday evening at 6 p.m., the place was already almost full. The atmosphere inside is quintessentially that of a traditional Japanese izakaya. ♒️The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including appetizers, yakitori, bento boxes, and sushi rolls. There are also some unique specials written on blackboards and stickers on the sushi bar wall that aren’t listed on the regular menu. 🍧Ankimo (Monkfish Liver) was the most impressive dish for me. Monkfish liver is not commonly found, and it really adds a unique touch to the restaurant. Tako Wasabi (Octopus with Wasabi) is a must-order for me at any izakaya. A place without this dish just doesn’t feel like a true izakaya to me. 🍝Tonkatsu (Pork Cutlet) was quite tender. I haven’t had tonkatsu at many other places, but this one was really good. Darvish Roll is a combination of scallops and salmon, offering a rich and varied texture. I also ordered three types of sushi. Compared to the other dishes, the sushi felt a bit ordinary. In my opinion, Hytsuyuki is still the best, but this place offers great value for money. 🅿️ There’s free parking right in front of the restaurant. #DallasJapaneseCuisine #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasCuisine #DallasEats #DallasFoodie
