Jerusalem's Wailing Wall: Where History Touches the Soul
Last October during Israeli holidays, Jerusalem was packed with pilgrims. We took the train from Tel Aviv and arrived at Jerusalem's central station, then caught a bus straight to our hotel - the Ibis Jerusalem City Center on a charming pedestrian street. Evenings featured lovely street performances 🎶, but everything quieted down by 10pm for peaceful rest. 🗺️ Our Jerusalem Itinerary: Day 1: Old City Magic ▫️ Western Wall (Kotel) - The palpable weight of history here moved me to tears 😭 ▫️ Church of Holy Sepulchre - Where Jesus was crucified ✝️ ▫️ Mount of Olives at sunset - Taxi ride for breathtaking city views 🌇 Day 2: Border Crossings ▫️ Israel Museum - Saw the incredible Dead Sea Scrolls 📜 ▫️ Bethlehem (West Bank) - Visited Jesus' birthplace at Church of Nativity 👼 ▫️ Crossed into Jordan - Through Jerusalem's central border crossing (more on that later!) 💡 Pro Tips: 1️⃣ West Bank access may change - always check current conditions first! 2️⃣ Special taxis with Palestinian permits exist - ask your hotel to arrange 🚖 3️⃣ Local guides in Bethlehem share powerful personal stories 🗣️ No camera can capture Jerusalem's magic 📵 - especially at the Western Wall where centuries of prayers still echo. I highly recommend studying its history before visiting! Next stop: Floating in the Dead Sea - a childhood dream coming true! 🏊♀️ #HolyLand #Jerusalem #TravelDiaries #BucketList #MiddleEastAdventure
