Journey to Israel - Jerusalem
"Jesus to the Left, Mary to the Right" 🙏 Mount Zion outside the Zion Gate holds too many historic relics (though honestly, all of Jerusalem is like this). At the signboard on the wall of the Dormition Abbey, we had to choose - this time we only had the chance to visit the "Upper Room" where the Last Supper took place. The abbey to the right, believed to be where the Virgin Mary rested or ascended to heaven, would have to wait for our next possible Jerusalem trip. Some stories are meant to be continued... 📸 Photo Highlights: ▫️ The fateful fork-in-the-road sign at Mount Zion ▫️ The simple stone pillars and arches of the Last Supper Room ▫️ Holy light streaming through the abbey's stained glass 💡 Travel Tips: ✅ Visit early morning to avoid crowds ✅ Shoulders and knees must be covered (religious site requirement) ✅ Combine with King David's Tomb & Mark's Chapel for walking route 🌍 "In Jerusalem, every corner holds a rendezvous with history" (Left: Where Jesus shared his last meal • Right: Where Mary may have ascended - until next time, Jerusalem!) ✝️⛪ #TravelerGrowthPlan ✈️ #IsraelTravel 🇮🇱 #Jerusalem3000 🕊️ #WorldHeritage 🏛️ #HiddenGems 🔍 #ChurchArchitecture ⛪ #TravelGuide 📖 #RoadTripBible 🚗
