Juneau, Alaska Food Guide 🍽️🦀
I spent four days in Juneau and made it my mission to try almost all the highly recommended restaurants in this small but flavorful town. Here’s my tasty roundup: 🤔 Tracy's King Crab Shack A must-try for many tourists. Although some say it’s overrated, I’d say it’s still decent. I ordered the combo—the seafood chowder was rich and delicious, though the king crab legs were a bit salty. A bit pricey, but worth a visit if it’s your first time in Alaska and you’ve never tried red king crab before. 👍🏻 Deckhand Dave's Fish Tacos Even as someone who doesn’t usually eat tacos, I loved theirs! The fish is fresh-caught daily. Highly recommend the halibut taco — so flaky and flavorful! 👍🏻 Twisted Fish Company Alaskan Grill A lovely local fine-dining spot. Known for their fish burgers, halibut tacos, and halibut & chips. But after days of eating seafood, I went for the Steak Frites — and it did not disappoint! The red wine demi-glace with fries was chef’s kiss. Only downside: I asked for medium, but got medium-well. 👍🏻 Pel'meni Imagine this: it’s 10:30 PM after a long day of travel. You’re starving and assume everything is closed… Then you find this Russian dumpling spot on Google Maps! 🥟 No real menu—just pork or beef dumplings, served with bread. $10 per order. They look simple, but topped with spicy sauce and seasoning, they become soul food. I instantly ordered a second portion. So comforting! 👍🏻 Alaskan Crepe Escape Crepe lovers, you’re in luck! 😍 Both sweet and savory options are amazing. I went back two days in a row. 😋 The Rookery Cafe Their Loco Moco is a must-try! You can choose between fried chicken or hamburger steak—I tried both, and the fried chicken won 🍗. They open at 7 AM, making it a perfect breakfast spot when other places are still closed. Whether you're cruising on the Princess Line or exploring on your own, Juneau’s food scene will keep you well fed and happy! 🚢🏔️ #AlaskaTravel #JuneauEats #PrincessCruise #Alaska #AlaskaCruise #FoodGuide #SeafoodLover #TravelAlaska 🍴✨
