Just an Ordinary Chinese Restaurant in a Remote Area | Chef Sun
McKinney finally has a Chinese restaurant ~ I have to say, the owner of Chef Sun knows how to make money — opening near HUB 121, getting foreigners to willingly spend $13 for just 6 soup dumplings . Seeing the dumplings being freshly wrapped at the open kitchen really makes them splurge… As for me… maybe I'm still too poor . At over $20 each after tax for pork soup dumplings, I just couldn’t bring myself to order them 🥲. Big Plate Chicken Noodles 🍜 The noodles are hand-pulled extra-wide noodles, so long they come with scissors ✂️ to cut them before eating ~ the seasoning tastes just like typical pre-made big plate chicken sauce. Poached Fish in Chili Oil 🌶️ About the level of an average Austin Chinese restaurant, made with frozen fish pieces 🐟, served with a complimentary bowl of rice 🍚. Blanched Okra 🥬 Exactly as the name suggests, served with plain soy sauce for dipping. I really want to say “I’m never coming back”… but it’s just so close to home 🏠. Guess I’ll probably end up returning anyway 🙃. #McKinneyChineseFood #ChefSun#McKinney#McKinneyfood#McKinneylfe#McKinneyweekend#TexasMcKinney
